Biography

Vladimir Ragutsky was born in the village of Teploye of the Chausky district of the Mogilev province (currently - the Chausky district of the Mogilev region ). He graduated from elementary school in the village of Staroe Pashkovo , then secondary school in Mogilev . He continued his education in Minsk , having entered the pedagogical institute at the literary faculty [1] .

Began to print in 1934. The first poems were published in the newspaper “Pioneer of Belarus” ( Belorussian. “Piyaner Belarusі” ), then appeared on the pages of the newspapers “Krasnaya Smena” ( Belor. “Chirvonaya Zmena” ) [2] , “Kommunar of the Mogilev Region” ( Belor. “Kamunar Magileoshshchiny " )," Literature and Art "( Belorussian. " Literature and mastastva " ), the magazine" Flame of the Revolution "( Belorussian. " The flame of the revolution " ). In 1939, Ragutsky joined the editorial office of the regional newspaper Kommunar Mogilyovshchiny ( Belarusian. Kamunar Magileshshchiny ). In 1940, the preparation of the first personal collection began, which was supposed to be published in the State Publishing House of the BSSR, but the war prevented these plans [1] .

With the outbreak of World War II, the poet was drafted into the Red Army and went to the front. In the first battles near the western border, he died [3] . The manuscript of the future collection of poems was lost, and in the post-war years, Vladimir Ratsutsky’s poetry was published in separate verses in several collections devoted to poets and writers of Belarus: “We Will Not Forget It” (1949), “Covering the Heart” (1967), “Poklіch dolі adzіnai” (1979), “Anthology of Belarus Paezii” (1993), “Skryzhali Pamyatsi” (2005) [1] .
