Evgeniy Andreyevich Koptev ( September 27, 1935 , the village of Znamenskoye , Kursk Region - January 20, 2016 [1] ) is a Russian writer.

Biography
At the age of twelve, he remained behind the breadwinner in the family. After graduating from one of the Donets Basin schools of the Federal Law , he worked as a fitter at the construction of the Novocherkassk Electrode Plant , the Salavat Oil Refinery , in the Kremennaya-Vostochnaya mine, and served in the tank troops . In 1963, having graduated from an industrial technical school, he worked as a master of industrial training at the Rubezhansky Chemical Plant . In 1972 he graduated in absentia from the Gorky Literary Institute , and three years later he arrived in Kamchatka and settled in the village of Palana . For seven years he worked in the newspaper Koryak Communist . He paid much attention to the cause of nature conservation.
The first book of the writer, “Waiting for Foliage” (1967), is a small collection of micronovels about nature and respect for all living things. It was published in Ukraine , as well as three subsequent collections by E. Koptev, “The Longest Night” (1971), “Create the Dawn” (1974) and “Maturation” (1977). In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky saw the light of the new books of the writer "Span" (1982) and "Hour of Great Silence" (1987), written for children. The heroes of Koptev's stories are people of the harsh northern region. Many of his works are autobiographical.
He was a member of the Kamchatka Regional Branch of the Union of Writers of Russia .
