Garyunay - a large wholesale and retail clothing market on the western outskirts of Vilnius , existing since the early 1990s. Located in the district of Garyunay, 5 min. driving from the municipality Lazdinai , behind the bridge over the river Neris ( Vilia ), on the highway Vilnius - Kaunas ; covers an area of more than 30 hectares . It is considered one of the largest markets in Eastern Europe [1] .
About 10 thousand small entrepreneurs trade in the market. The market is very popular among Belarusian tourists. Most of the vendors in the market are fluent in Lithuanian, Russian and Polish. The territory of the market consists of two parts: the wholesale and retail clothing market and the automotive market.
