This is the name of a person from Ethiopia ; here Tesfaye is a personal name , and Aber is a middle name , not a surname .

For the first time at international competitions he performed in 2011 at the half marathon in the Moroccan city of El Aaiun , where he took 5th place with a score of 1: 02.56 ^[1] . The following year, he set a personal record in the half marathon in Nice, becoming a bronze medalist with a time of 1: 00.32.

Participant in the world cross-country championships 2013 ( 14th place ) and 2015 (26th place).

On January 18, 2015 he made his debut at the marathon, having won at the Mumbai marathon - 2: 09.46.

January 22, 2016 became the winner of the Dubai Marathon with a personal record - 2: 04.24 ^[2] . Thus, he occupies the 9th line in the list of the fastest marathon runners in history ^[3] .
