Young Miss USA 2003 - The 21st National Beauty Contest , held at the Palm Springs Convention Center, Palm Springs, California. The winner was Vanessa Simrow, representing Wisconsin ^[1] .

Prior to the direct finals, 51 contestants participated in the preliminary presentation of the show, where they were evaluated in swimsuits and evening dresses. The results of this refereeing determined the 15 best for the final competition.

The first year the competition was held in Palm Springs, which later took place in 2004 and 2006 . The competition was announced on July 17, 2003. ^[2] On July 23, 2003, it was announced that Jessica Simpson and Justin Guarini became guest stars. ^{[3] The} organizers of the beauty contest are Mario Lopez and Brooke Burns.

Tami Farrell became the third Oregon title holder.
