Kayaking and Canoeing
Rowing Slalom
The qualification round is held in two attempts. The result in each attempt is the sum of the time spent on the route and the amount of penalty points that the athlete receives for incorrect passage of the goal. One penalty point equals one second. Of the 2 attempts, the best result is selected, according to the results of which, the athletes with the least points that pass to the next round are identified. In the semifinals, rowers perform one attempt. 8 athletes with the lowest score go to the finals.

Shooting
In January 2013, the International Shooting Sport Federation adopted new rules for holding competitions for 2013-2016, which, in particular, changed the order of the finals. In many disciplines, athletes who reached the finals now begin the decisive round without points scored in the qualification, and the finals are held according to the elimination system. Also, in the finals after each round of shooting, the athlete with the least points is eliminated from further struggle. In a high-speed pistol, decisive fights take place on a miss-miss system. A semi-final round was added to the trap shooting, where two participants in the final match and a duel for the third place are determined [2] .

Fencing
In individual competitions, athletes fight three rounds of three minutes, or until one of the athletes delivers 15 injections. In team competitions, the fight goes on 9 rounds of 3 minutes each, or up to 45 injections. If at the end of time a draw is recorded in a duel, then an additional minute is assigned before the “golden” shot.
