Balázs Babella ( Hungarian Balázs Babella , August 21, 1978 , Vác ) - Hungarian rower-kayaker , played for the Hungarian national team throughout the 2000s. Two-time world champion, twice European champion, winner of many regattas of national and international importance. Also known as a kayak and canoeing coach.

Biography
Balazs Babella was born on August 21, 1978 in the city of Vac . He began to actively engage in rowing at the age of nine, trained under the guidance of his own father, a famous coach in Hungary, and later was in the canoe club of the city of Pécs .
He achieved the first serious success at the adult level in 2004 when he got into the main team of the Hungarian national team and visited the European Championship in Polish Poznan, from where he brought awards of gold and bronze dignity won at a distance of 200 meters in the four-seater and two-seater kayaks, respectively. A year later, in the same European championship in Poznan, he again won gold in four at two hundred meters, moreover, this season he won the World Championship in Croatian Zagreb, overtaking all his rivals in four at two hundred meters.
In 2006, at the European Championships in the Czech Republic, Račice Babella won a bronze medal in fours at a two-hundred-meter distance, while at the home world championship in Szeged he received silver in this discipline. The following season added to the track record a bronze award won in four at 200 meters at the European Championships in the Spanish Pontevedra, and a gold award in the same discipline at the World Championships in the German Duisburg, thus becoming the double world champion in rowing.
Subsequently, Balazs Babella remained in the main line-up of the Hungarian rowing team and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in 2008 at the European Championships in Milan, he won another bronze in four at two hundred meters. Soon after the end of these competitions, he decided to end his career as a professional athlete, giving way to the team of young Hungarian rowers.
After completing his career, he switched to coaching, in particular, since 2008, he has led the Singapore national team [1] .
