DescriptionBody length - 182 mm, tail - 174 mm, weight - 221 g. The back is variegated, the tail is essentially the same, but more reddish. Different ratios of red at the ends of the hair cause an almost striped surface. The belly is reddish yellow-brown.
DistributionIt lives in five countries: Bolivia , Brazil , Colombia , Argentina and Peru . Habitat preferences and the ecology of this species are poorly understood. It lives mainly in tropical forests . It can be found at an altitude of up to 2600 m above sea level. In Huhui province, it is also found in alder forests.
