Story
Three nuns come to House and ask her to help her sister Augustine (Elizabeth Mitchell), who has wounds in her arms that look like stigmata. House does not believe in stigmata and is therefore convinced that it is an allergy. Other nuns reported that they acquired a new dishwashing detergent at the monastery, which allegedly caused allergies. House gives her antihistamines , but Sister Augustine begins to suffocate (an allergic reaction), so in addition, House introduces her adrenaline, which causes an even worse deterioration in the condition of Sister Augustine.
Cuddy is convinced that House just made a mistake and introduced the nuns a lot of adrenaline. If House does not find evidence in 24 hours indicating that he is innocent, then Cuddy will report the incident to the hospital lawyer. House and his team are discussing the situation in the office. Cameron suggests that the nun could have Churg-Strauss syndrome. Foreman has a different and much easier theory - House's mistake. During computed tomography, sister Augustine has a seizure. She is sure that Jesus came to her. Foreman notices a rash on her leg. With tests, he learns that it is herpes, which was the result of a deterioration of the immune system. House thinks the nun has mixed connective tissue disorders. He writes it down for hyperbaric oxygenation, but Foreman considers this idea life-threatening for the patient. He talks about the act of House Caddy and dismisses Gregory House.
Cuddy meets with Cameron, Foreman and Chase to discuss the case. After this, House asks Chase that Sister Augustine does not hide something. To find out more, House visits the convent where sister Augustine lived. One of the "friends" Augustine says that she herself had an abortion at 15 years old. In the monastery's kitchen, House learns that nuns are served tea with a plant, which, together with adrenaline, causes cardiac arrest. However, there is still some kind of allergy, which further worsens the condition of the sister. House decides to introduce various allergens, but none gives any reaction. Meanwhile, Sister Augustine is fully confident that God wants her to die and therefore wants to return to the monastery. Doctors, through X-rays, find in her pelvis an intrauterine device made of copper (sister Augustine is allergic to copper). During surgery, doctors remove this device, which Augustine herself placed in her body many years ago, so as not to get pregnant.
