History and title
It was founded at the beginning of the XVII century. The documents of 1620 mention the repair of Velichkov on the river. Khmelinets, under the Yakovlevsky forest. And in one of the documents of 1697 it says: "the prince transported on the river on the Don below the Khmeliysky estuary against the land of the village of Studenoi, which was the repair of the Velichkov landowner Mikita Falaleyev da Afanasy Perunov." The last name is connected by a stream flowing from an icy (cold) mole.
