Biography
He was born in 1796 in the Krapivensky district of the Tula governorship. In 1818 he graduated from Moscow University . Until 1820, he served in the Department of Education. Since 1820, he was the director and trustee of the Tula gymnasium, and in 1823-1835 he was the director of various schools in the Tula province. It was distinguished by a “liberal direction” in the development of public education. He managed to save two Lancaster schools after their widespread ban in 1826 - the only ones in the Moscow school district, which included the Tula province . The date and place of his death is unknown.
The owner of 61 souls of peasants in the village of Sretensky, Efremovsky district, Tula province. Then he set up a stud farm. E.N. Vorontsov-Velyaminov was included in the list of honorary and full members-competitors of the Lebedyansk racing society. In 1845-1846, in the city of Lebedyan, Tambov province, his dark-bay mare Rocket and the red stallion Chervonchik, who won three Imperial prizes at different distances, participated in the races. He was known as a freemason and writer. He was a member of the Society of History and Antiquities of Russia at Moscow University. Two passions lived in the soul of Count Evgraf Nikolaevich: horses and Ancient Egypt.

Had many handwritten works. The author of articles on the Egyptian mummies "Bengal Tiger" and "Leisure of the Desert", published in the journal "Herald of Europe". In the 1830s, he patronized the Tula seminarist I.P. Sakharov (1807–1863), the future famous folklorist , archaeologist , and historian of the Tula region.
