Atbasar fair

Atbasar Fair is a traditional summer fair held in the late XIX and early XX centuries near the city of Atbasar ( Akmola region of Kazakhstan ). Located on the ancient caravan routes, the fair was a large shopping center where factory goods were exchanged for agricultural products. Merchants from Tashkent and Bukhara came to the Atbasar fair. At the beginning of the 20th century, the annual turnover of the fair was 813 thousand rubles, including (thousand rubles): for livestock products - 198.7; manufactory - 173.5; metal products - 7.9; leather products - 17.6; “Asian” goods (carpets, dried fruit) - 23.7.
