Katase
Katase is a 3-kilometer part of the lower reaches of the Sakai River from the confluence of the Kashio River.
The name of the river refers to the Katase hills (片 瀬 山) along which the river flows.
Katase shores are susceptible to flooding , especially in the spring and during the typhoon season, therefore, as a defense, cities were enclosed in concrete in the post-war period. Now the water level in the river also rises, but does not go over the banks, as before. [one]
