Description

Small shiny wasps with a stalked belly. Length 5.8 mm. The main body color is brownish-black. It has a wide pronotum, smooth abdominal tergites with rare punctures and spinous propedeal teeth of the posterior thorax. Pronotum length less than 0.5 of its width. Head without occipital carina, cheek grooves developed. Pronotum convex, equal in length to scutum (methanotum almost equal to length of scutellum). Propodeum angular, notched. Mesoplevron punctured, without grooves (Olamous is absent in males). Wingless females (males supposedly winged, but have not yet been found in this species). The claws of the paws are notched. Presumably, like other closely related parasitoids . The taxon was first described in 2016 by American lymphoterologist Lynn Kimsey ( Lynn S. Kimsey ; University of California , Davis , Davis , USA ), Japanese entomologist T. Mira (Toshiharu Mita, Tokyo University of Agriculture, Atsugi, Japan ) and Vietnamese biologist T. Hong Pham (Thai Hong Pham, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), Hanoi , Vietnam ). The species name M. bo is derived from the Vietnamese word “bo” (cow) on the basis of sharp spines on the back of the chest. Close to the Mahinda saltator species, M. borneensis and M. sulawesiensis [1] [2] .
