History
Twizy debuted as a concept car in 2009 at the Frankfurt Motor Show [3] . In May 2011, Renault announced that they would produce Twizzies and began accepting orders.
In March 2012, Twizy entered the market in France, a month later debuted in the UK and several other European countries. [four]
Available in three versions, costing from € 6,990 to € 8,490. The price of Twizy does not include the battery, which is rented for a monthly fee. This monthly fee covers road assistance, battery replacement and warranty. [5] [6]
Twizy was the best-selling electric car in Europe during 2012. [7] Since its inception, 15,000 Twizy were sold until April 2015, [8] [9] mainly in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. [ten]

The battery is charged with a sliding spiral cable, stored under the valve on the front of the vehicle. The integrated charger is compatible with conventional battery charging terminals, as well as standard 220 V 10 A household electrical outlets. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about three and a half hours.
