Kurtino - a village in the Stupinsky district of the Moscow region as part of the City Settlement Stupino (until 2006 it was part of the Starosytnensky rural district [2] ).

For 2016 in Kurtin there are 2 streets and an alley [3] . For the first time in historical documents it was mentioned in 1577 as Kurkina , probably named after the name of the owner [4] . In the village, probably, in the middle of the 18th century, Pavel Martynovich Skavronsky (according to other sources, Prince Golitsyn [5] ) founded the estate [6] , from which the church of John the Warrior (the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow”) was built, built in In 1817, at the expense of A. N. Golitsyna [7] , also dated 1794, a monument of architecture of federal significance [8] . To date, the temple has not been restored [9] .

Kurtino is located in the southeast of the region, in the upper reaches of the Bunchikha River, the left tributary of the Kashirka River , the height of the village center above sea level is 181 m [4] . The nearest settlements: Rodomanovo - to the south, on the other side of the river and Gladkovo - about 1 km to the west.
