Muspac ( fr. Muespach ) is a commune in the northeast of France in the Grand Est region ^[1] (former Alsace - Champagne - Ardennes - Lorraine ), department of the Upper Rhine , Altkirch district , Altkirch canton ^[2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Ferret ( Altkirsh County).

The area of the commune is 11.37 km², the population is 860 people ^[3] ^[4] (2006) with a tendency to stabilize: 839 people ^[5] (2012), the population density is 73.8 people / km².

The population of the commune in 2011 was 838 people ^[6] , and in 2012 - 839 people ^[5] .

Economics

In 2010, out of 550 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 424 were economically active , 126 inactive (activity indicator 77.1%, in 1999 - 72.0%). Of 424 active able-bodied residents, 402 people worked (236 men and 166 women), 22 were unemployed (10 men and 12 women). Among 126 able-bodied inactive citizens, 25 were pupils or students , 51 were pensioners , and another 50 were inactive for other reasons ^[8] ^[9] .

Throughout 2011, the commune had 355 taxable households in which 831 people lived. In this case, the median income amounted to 32680 euros per taxpayer ^[10] .
