(16958) Klaasen ( lat. Klaasen ) - an asteroid belonging to the group of asteroids crossing the orbit of Mars . It was discovered on August 2, 1998 as part of the LONEOS project in Anderson Mesa and is named after Kenneth P. Klaasen, an American astronomer and geomorphologist.
