The people of the Ryukyu Islands, of which Okinawa is the largest, are distinguished by the highest life expectancy, including due to the diet [1] [2] [3] . The diet does not eat a lot of meat, dairy products or cereals and soy products. Plant foods predominate in the diet. The Okinawan diet involves the consumption of whole and unprocessed foods. Okinawans typically consume about 1,200 calories per day.
