Slot-hole arrester of the SIG SG 550 submachine gun
The flash suppressor ( Flash suppressor ) must reduce the visibility of the shot by scattering gases up and sideways so as not to raise dust. Eliminates the blinding of the shooter with a muzzle flame and increases its masking. It has some compensating effect . Flame arresters are available both shortened and standard.
Application
With the adoption of the AK-74 assault rifle in 1974, the arrester appeared on its shortened modification - AKS-74U . Now he has migrated without changes to the shortened assault rifles of the "hundredth series" - AK-102 , AK-104 and AK-105 .
