Biography
Ellina Uzhakhova was born on July 18, 1982 in Tselinograd . She began to actively engage in rowing from early childhood, from 1988-1999 she was trained at the 2nd Olympic Reserve School.
The first serious success at the adult international level was in 2002, when she got into the main team of the Kazakhstan national team and visited the Asian Games in Busan, from where she brought the silver dignity award, won with her partner Natalya Sergeeva in the classification of double kayaks at a distance of 500 meters. She also started here in fours at five hundred meters, but in the decisive race she showed only the fourth result, not reaching the prize positions a little.
Thanks to a series of successful performances at the age of twenty-two, she won the right to defend the country's honor at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens - together with the same Sergeyeva, in the half-kilometer race of two, she managed to reach only the semi-finals, where she finished sixth. Soon after the end of these competitions, she decided to end the career of a professional athlete, losing her place in the national team to young Kazakhstani rowers.
