Biography
He was born on February 20, 1924 in a peasant family in the village of Vorklec ( Reckelwitz ), Serboluzhitsky. He graduated from the folk school in the same village. In 1948, he participated in the construction of the Belgorod-Zagreb road as part of the Arolis Andritsky brigade of the Serbian district of the youth organization Serbska młodźina. Later, before the dissolution of this organization was its chairman. He was a teacher of languages and history of Luzhitsy. Since 1950, he has been the director of the Serbian team in Budishin ( Bautzen ) and since 1953 - the director of the school named after Yakub Chishinsky in the village of Panchitsy-Kukov ( Panschwitz-Kukau ).
In 1951, he was elected a member of the union administration of the Serboluzhitsky cultural and educational organization Domovina. He was a member of this department for 11 electoral periods until 1990. After Merchin Novak-Nehornskogo and Merchin Kasper, he acted as chairman of one of the commissions of the union administration of Domoviny. From 1956, he was in the personnel position of Domoviny, and from 1964 to 1989, he was responsible secretary for cultural activities. In 1964 he founded the choir “Budyšin”. For seven years, he was involved in organizing the annual “Festival of Serbian folk culture”.
In 1964 he founded the choir “Budyšin”. In 1980, in collaboration with Jan Bulank, published the songbook “Towaršny spěwnik” [1] and in 1997 - the songbook “Spěw najrjeńš towarš je” [2] .
He published his articles in the newspaper “Nowa doba” and the literary magazines “Rozhlad” and “Serbska protyka”.
In 1982, he was awarded the Yakub Chishinsky Prize for his work.
In 1989 he retired. He died on December 31, 2015 and was buried in the cemetery of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Budishin.
