The M120 engine was used in:

CLK GTR

In addition to executive sedans for senior officials, the engine was installed on racing cars, namely the CLK GTR (created on the basis of the CLK W208). The CLK GTR was built to compete in the 1997 FIA GT Championship. M120 was installed on the GTR without major modifications, with a standard volume. Engine capacity was increased only in 1999, it was necessary according to the new Championship rules. 25 GTRs received an engine with a rather rather large displacement of 6.9 liters.

AMG

To masters from Affalterbach, it seemed a little 394 hp and a volume of 6 liters. Then they decided to create something crazy and squandered the already huge volume M120 block. They got an incredible 7.3-liter 525-horsepower engine, which seemed to have no equal at that time. Also in Affalterbach, the W140 acquired branded body kits from AMG. The 7.3-liter giant was installed not only on the W140, but also on the SL73 AMG roadster (R129). There was still version 7.0 installed on the same R129, but this SL with the prefix 70 is very rare, since it was released in a small batch. AMG also completed a special order for a car with its 7.3 engine, and, oddly enough, it was a station wagon. 18 station wagons marked S73 T Kombi were made and 10 of them went to the Sultan of Brunei, who made the order.

BRABUS

The madmen from Bottrop did not commit crazy actions for a long time, and for this reason they decided to improve the M120. They created a monster that had an engine with a volume of 7.3 liters, but, unlike AMG, this monster gave out 540 forces and rushed at a speed of 305 km / h and weighing over 2 tons. The sedan received a classically modest, Brabus-style, bumpers and sills, the entire car was painted black, including chrome. Also, in order to stop the huge sedan, the Botropovtsy had to completely re-develop the brakes, now on the 140th there are 12 piston, ventilated brakes in the front and the same but 6 pistons in the back. Later, Lorinser launched the S74 with an 7.4-liter engine, but even considering the increased volume, the Lorinser S74 was unable to go around the BRABUS S73, which once again proves the company's skill in finalizing the engines.

Pagani Zonda

It is no secret that Pagani installs engines from AMG on its cars. The first Pagani with an AMG engine was the Zonda, and it was the M120. Both engines with a stock volume of 6 liters and 7.3-liter monsters were installed on Zond, and both of them had AMG improvements.

The following Pagani modifications were released:
