Biography
Jean Marshan was born in 1650. He held the post of Director of the Experimental Botanical Garden in Paris.
Jean Marchand died on November 11, 1738 in Paris.
Scientific Works
The main scientific work devoted to the study of mosses.
- In honor of his father, he named the genus of liverpieces Marchantia [1] .
- Developed his theory of species education.
