History

Litvinovo, like most settlements of the Litvinovsky rural settlement, was founded by Cossacks at the end of the 17th century (the village of Balakhnino - 1676, the village of Krasnoselka - 1684, the village of Litvinovo - 1687). There is an opinion about the origin of the name from the name of the equestrian Cossack Matvey Litvinov, who founded the settlement in 1687 [2] .
