Biography
Elena Kuzmina started volleyball in 1983 in the Melitopol Youth Sports School. The first trainer is Larisa Nikolaevna Kuzmina (Chuprina) (Elena’s mother), who played for the Odessa Petrel and became its champion in the USSR 1961 , the bronze medalist of the Allied Championship in 1962 , the holder of the European Cup in 1962. Since 1992, Elena Kuzmina has been playing for Kiev sports boarding school, and in 1996 she was invited to the Moscow MGFSO team , as a part of which she made her debut in the Super League of the Russian Championship a year later. At the beginning of her sports career, she played in the position of a binder, and after the introduction of the gaming function in 1999, the libero began to play this role.
Elena Kuzmina (from 2001 - Yezhova) played for MGFSO until 2002, after which she moved to the Belgorod “University” and for its first time became the silver medalist of the Russian championship . In 2003, following her husband, volleyball player Alexei Yezhov, who signed a contract with Kazan Dynamo Tattransgaz (now Zenit) , moved to Kazan and began to play for Kazanochka , who played in the Premier League B [1] . Together with a team from the capital of Tatarstan, in two seasons, she went all the way to the Super League, but, having missed due to the birth of her son, the Kazanochka debut season in the elite of Russian women's volleyball 2005-2006, she returned to Moscow after maternity leave and then played for four seasons Moscow "Dynamo" , which included twice became the champion of Russia and twice more silver medalist of Russian championships. Since 2010, she played for the Dynamo teams of Krasnodar , Kazan and Moscow (second time), the Novy Urengoy Fakel , and in 2014 she returned to Kazan for the third time, where she again signed a contract with the local Dynamo . In 2015, for the fourth time in her career, she won the “gold” of the Russian Championship .
In January 2016 she made her debut in the Russian team . At the Olympic qualifying tournament in the capital of Turkey, Ankara took part in one match of the Russian national team, in which the Russians defeated the Belgian national team 3-0. In August of the same year, she participated in the Olympic Games in Brazil.
