Alexander Vladimirovich Gaidukov (born January 10, 1974 ) is a Russian and Kazakhstan water polo player , an international-class master of sports , and later a water polo coach .

Career
Pupil of the Volgograd school of water sports. From the age of seven he was engaged in swimming with Olga Osadina . At the age of 13, he moved to water polo . The first mentor was Valery Osadin . He played for the CIS youth water polo team. From the age of 17 - as part of Spartak-Volgograd .
Champion of Russia (1997, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2010, 2011), silver medalist of the Russian Championship (1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2009), bronze medalist of the Russian Championship (1994, 2007, 2008).
Winner of the Cup of Russia (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2009).
Participated in the “Final Four” of the Champions League 1997/98.
As part of the national team of Kazakhstan, he participated in the 2004 Olympics , became the winner of the Asian Games-2002 and Asian Games-2010 , as well as the bronze medalist of the Asian Games-2006 .
In 2011, he completed his playing career and switched to coaching: as a coach in general physical training at Spartak .
Since 2012 - head coach of the Spartak-Volgograd women's team. As the head coach, he led the team to the silver medals of the national championship (2015) and the bronze medals of the Russian Cup (2013, 2014).
He was the head coach of the junior team of Russia, who won bronze medals of the World Cup (Volos, 2015).
He was part of the coaching staff of the student team that won bronze medals at the XXVIII World Summer Universiade ( Gwangju ). Since 2015, he heads the women's national team of Russia [2] .
Doping Scandal
In 2005, he was disqualified for 12 months for having a prohibited drug, cardephone, in a doping test. The sample was taken during the superfinal series of the championship of Russia, played at that time for Spartak-Volgograd [3] .
The doping test was conducted by the Training Center for Russian National Teams.
