In 1918 he returned to the Donbass, where in 1919 he headed the Central Rescue Station in Makeyevka as head.

From 1920 to 1926, he led the restoration of the destroyed Donbass rescue stations, the expansion and modernization of existing and the construction of new stations. Thanks to his perseverance, the Golubovskaya and Gorlovskaya rescue stations were opened in the Donbas. At the same time, B. F. Grindler took out the equipment, organized research and practical work at the mine rescue centers and stations, and trained personnel of the mine rescuers.

Repeatedly participated in the rescue of people and the elimination of disasters in the mines.

"By 1920, the mine-rescue case in the USSR almost ceased to exist, and when I had to take up its restoration in the conditions of perfect devastation and the complete absence of any means and technical materials, none of the comrades in the work believed that from this will come out. "

Report at the 1st Donetsk Congress on the safety of mining operations, Gorlovka, 1925.

Thanks to the efforts of B. F. Grindler, such a restoration was possible. The mine-rescue business was removed from the maintenance of the mining departments and mines, the remnants of equipment and spare parts were requisitioned and a centralized organization was created with a single governing body. At that time, there was no such centralization of the mountain-rescue business in any country in the world. This made it possible to save the USSR mine-saving business and bring it to a qualitatively different level of development.

In 1928, among many other experienced leaders of the coal industry, he was accused of having links with foreign subversive centers ( Shakhty affair ). In 1930 he was expelled from the Donbass to Kazakhstan .

Kuznetsk Period

In 1930, B. F. Grindler was appointed chief engineer of the Kazstroyugol trust (later, the Karagandaugol trust). Together with K. O. Gorbachev , the first manager of the trust and one of the first organizers of the USSR coal industry , he led the development of geological prospecting and exploration work in the Karaganda coal basin , laying new mines, building mine houses, building workers and dwelling buildings, housing for workers.

At the same time, he actively worked on the creation of a mountain rescue service in Karaganda . Thanks to his energy and perseverance, the first mine-rescue station of the Karaganda coal basin was commissioned on November 1, 1932.

In 1928, the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR decided to establish the Central Rescue Station in Leninsk-Kuznetsky , the geographical center of the future industrial Kuzbass . BF Grindler consulted this project, as he was not only an outstanding mining engineer, but also had valuable experience in organizing operational work to save people and eliminate accidents in mines.

In 1932 he was transferred to Kuzbass in connection with his appointment as Chief of the militarized mountain-rescue parts of Siberia and the Far Eastern Territory , based in Leninsk-Kuznetsky.

Actively engaged in the formation and development of the mine-rescue business. Under his leadership, in 1934, the Siberian Central Rescue Station was commissioned in Leninsk-Kuznetsky , which in its scale and technical capabilities was one of the best in the USSR and abroad.

In 1932, B. F. Grindler organized, at district rescue stations in the cities of Anzhero-Sudzhensk , Prokopyevsk and Leninsk-Kuznetsky, the creation of special laboratories that studied the phenomenon of oxidation of coal and determined the degree of self-ignition of massive layers of Kuzbass.

In 1933, he organized special psychotechnical, physiological, and ergometric laboratories at regional mountain rescue stations in Siberia and the Far East, which inspected the health status of candidates entering the mine-spasral service, and regularly monitored their physical condition.

In 1934, he united all laboratories, including special laboratories, into a single research department under the newly created inspection of the All- Russia State Unitary Survey of Siberia and the Far East. Personally led the research work.

Despite the workload in his direct case, in 1932 - 1934 he created the Leninsk-Kuznetsk experimental station for the underground gasification of coal in the Zhurinsky formation.

Author of many articles, instructions and manuals on the mine-rescue case, including the well-known manuals [1] [2] . He actively collaborated with the newly created “Collection of Works and Materials on the Mine-Rescue Case”.

His published works were used to increase the level of knowledge of the mine rescuers and workers in the mines and mines of the USSR.
