Biography

Agnes is the third daughter of Duke Frederick I of Württemberg and Sibylla of Anhalt , daughter of Prince Joachim Ernst of Anhalt .

On May 14, 1620, Agnes married Prince Franz Julius of Saxe-Lauenburg , a representative of the Askaniev dynasty, the son of Duke Franz II and his second wife Maria Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel . The spouses had seven children who died in early childhood:

  • Francis Maria (1621)
  • Maria Sibylla (1622-1623)
  • Franz Friedrich (1623-1625)
  • Franz Julius (1624-1625)
  • Johanna Juliana (1626)
  • Ferdinand Franz (1628-1629)
