About the album

In January 2013, guitarist Rob Caggiano left for the band Volbeat [11] and was replaced by Jonathan Donais of Shadows Fall [12] .

The recording of the album began at the end of 2014 with producer Jay Ruston in a studio in Los Angeles [13] .

A video clip for the song “Evil Twin” was released on October 22, 2015 [14] , and a few days later the album title was presented [15] .

In November 2015, the release date for the album [10] was announced and the cover [16] [17] [18] was presented. December 4, 2015 Anthrax presented the album's track list [19] .

Reviews and criticism

The total score on the Metacritic website is 70/100 (“generally favorable”) based on 11 reviews [20] .

InRock Magazine in the review of the album notes that “stylistically this is metal, with what epithet it does not matter, although some try to add the fashionable prefix“ groove-, and in some ways they are right "," and claims that thrash metal on the album is small. [5] However, a reviewer at PopMatters notes that For All Kings “stands out as powerful thrash metal with a distinctive sound that is unmistakably Anthrax as it is” [7] .
