History
The village Novoves appeared before the foundation of Petersburg. Its name comes from the old Russian phrase new whole - a new village with a trading place.
In 1797–1867 Novoves was assigned to the Pavlovsk Palace Board.
Since the end of the 1930s, the Pushkinsky branch of the Detskoselsky state farm has become the official name of the village.
In 1997, the village became part of Shushar. In 1999 the toponym Novoves was restored as the second name of the territory, and in 2008 it became the only one [1] .

Interesting Facts
In the 1930s, Fermenskoy Street in the village of Tyarlevo was given the name Novovestinskaya . It comes from Novovesi, but is incorrect; why the letter T appeared in it is not established [2] . The faithful adjective, Novo-Vinskii, is preserved in the passport of the Slavyanka River cultural heritage site, where Novovesinsky Bridge is mentioned [3] .
