On the Maidan
On February 20, 32-year-old Vitaly Kotsyuba died together with 36-year-old countryman Roman Varenitsa from sniper's bullets. According to eyewitnesses, risking their own lives, under fire, the activists returned for Vitali, but they did not manage to pull him out alive.

The funeral took place on February 23 in Voroblyachin.
