Ustim Vladimirovich Golodnyuk ( born August 12, 1994 , Zbarazh - February 20, 2014 , Kiev ) is an activist of Euromaidan , a fighter of 38 hundreds of Maidan self-defense . Hero of Ukraine .

Biography
Education
He has been a member of Euromaidan since November 2013 [1] . November 30 was beaten [by whom? ] As soon as the wounds healed, he again went to the Maidan [2] . Belonged to the 1st, 19th, later 38th hundreds. February 20, 2014 died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. Got it, helping to take away the dead near the upper exit of the Khreshchatyk metro station [3] [4]
Memory
On the 20th anniversary of Ustim’s birth, the Zbarazhans honored his memory for three days:
- On August 11, the youth of the city of Zbarazh weaved a garland of Honor for the Hero and collected signatures under the Address to the President of Ukraine on conferring the titles of Heroes of Ukraine to Ustim Golodnyuk, Nazar Voitovich and other heavenly boys;
- On August 12, a memorial liturgy was held in the Assumption Church. A procession to the Hero’s grave and a memorial veche near the grave of Ustim Golodnyuk were later held [5] .
Rewards
- The title Hero of Ukraine with the Golden Star Order ( November 21, 2014 , posthumous) - for civic courage, patriotism, heroic upholding of the constitutional principles of democracy, human rights and freedoms, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, discovered during the Revolution of Dignity [6] . The award was received by Ustim's father Vladimir Golodnyuk on February 20, 2015 from the hands of Petro Poroshenko on the anniversary of the events on Institutskaya Street [7] . The "Golden Star" of Ustim Golodnyuk is kept by his mother [8] .

Honors
March 27, 2014 the 24th session of the Berezhansk city council awarded the title "Honorary Citizen of Berezhany" posthumously [10] .
In titles
The deputies also voted to rename the city square, which is located between Armenian and Academic Streets, into “Ustim Golodnyuk Square” and establish a memorial in honor of the Heroes of the Maidan [11] .
In his honor, 38 hundred self-defense of the Maidan, of which he was a fighter, was named after Ustim Golodnyuk.
In sculpture
On August 31, 2014, on the facade of the Separate Division of the National University of Biological Resources and Nature Management of Ukraine “Berezhansky Agrotechnical Institute”, a memorial plaque to Ustim Golodnyuk was opened [10] .
On September 1, 2014, a memorial plaque in his honor was opened on the wall of Ivan Franko’s I-III stage secondary school No. 2 [2] and an exposition dedicated to the Heroes of Heaven in a school museum [13] . The memorial sign was made by Lviv masters for voluntary donations of students and teachers of the educational institution.
On February 18, 2015, at the grave of Ustim Golodnyuk, a monument was opened and consecrated in the form of a Cossack cross, since the hero’s favorite song was “My Knight's Cross” by Alexander Polozhynsky [14] .
In the literature
Many poets dedicated their poems and songs to Ustim Golodnyuk, which are posted in collections, on websites and on pages on social networks [15] .
In sports
In early August, Zbarazh annually hosts football, volleyball and weight-lifting sports tournaments “Glory to the Heroes!” Dedicated to the memory of Ustim Golodnyuk and Nazar Voitovich. The first tournament was held on August 12, 2014 on the 20th anniversary of the birth of Ustim [16] . The second tournament is August 12, 2015 [17] .
