History

For the first time, the creation of a metro in the city was proposed in the early 2000s. In August 2005, the city government and the provincial development commission included subway planning in the 5-year plan. The plan for the construction of a metro of 5 lines was approved on July 30, 2008, published in September 2008 and approved by the State Council of the PRC in July 2009.

October 16, 2008 created a company for the construction of the subway. The construction of the first line was started on July 29, 2009.

In the spring of 2013, the metro construction plan was confirmed, supplemented by the long-term prospect of creating another 5 lines and detailed by the start dates for the construction of the 3rd and 4th lines in September 2014 and September 2015. The construction of the second line began in July 2013.
