Viktor Mikhailovich Ivanov ( September 8, 1846 , St. Petersburg - September 25, 1919 , Odessa ) - Russian military and public figure, industrialist and entrepreneur , military engineer and teacher , lieutenant general , honored professor and honorary member of the Conference of the Nikolaev Engineering Academy , full professor Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff [1] . Member of IRGO [2] , member of the Ministry of Finance in the Committee for the Management of Water and Highway Traffic and Commercial Ports of the Ministry of Railways (from 1.7.1899).

Biography
Born September 8, 1846 in St. Petersburg . In 1868 he graduated from St. Petersburg University , in 1871, the Nikolaev Engineering College on the 1st level. He entered the service as second lieutenant in the 4th Mining Battalion on July 11, 1871. Since 1877, a participant in the Russian-Turkish war .
From 1878 to 1879 he was an officer of special assignments under the head of the Military Communications in Bulgaria . In 1883, after graduating from the Nikolaev Engineering Academy in the 1st category, he was appointed a tutor , since 1887, a teacher of the Academy. In 1891, he was awarded the rank of colonel .
In 1893 he was appointed extraordinary professor of the Nikolaev Engineering Academy. In 1901, he was awarded the rank of Major General with the appointment of an ordinary professor at the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff . Since 1903 he was appointed Professor Emeritus and Honorary Member of the Conference of the Nikolaev Engineering Academy. In 1909, retired with production as lieutenant general
Since 1898 [3] he was the chairman of the boards of the Russian Joint-Stock Company of Artillery Plants , the Russian Locomotive and Mechanical Society , the Russian Shipbuilding Joint-Stock Company , and the Turkestan Agricultural and Industrial Administration. The director is the board of the Semirechenskaya Railway , the board of the Petrograd Construction Joint-Stock Company, and the friendly company of car-building plants. He was a member of the board of the Phoenix machine-building plant , the “ council of congresses of representatives of industry and trade ”, the commission on organizing expeditions to the North Pole and on exploring rivers of the polar countries. In 1912, by a meeting of shareholders, he unanimously elected chairman of the board of the Russian-Belgian Metallurgical Society . [4] Selected by the vowel of the St. Petersburg City Council .
Since 1917, a member of the White Movement , he served in the Armed Forces of the South of Russia . He died on September 25, 1919 in Odessa .
