Jacobus Hubertus (Hub) Felix ( Dutch. Jacobus Hubertus "Huub" Felix ; April 8, 1895 , Mastricht - July 28, 1967 , ibid.), Also known as Ber Felix ( Dutch. Bèr Felix ) [1] - Dutch footballer who played on the position of the striker , played for the MVV team from Mastricht. As part of the national team, he played one match - he was the first representative of the province of Limburg in the Netherlands national team [2] .

The early years
Jacobus Hubertus Felix was born on April 8, 1895 in Mastricht in a large family of Christian Felix and his wife Jeanne Plush [3] . His mother was from Belgian Liege , and his father was born in Mastricht in a working class family.
Career
Hub Felix began his football career in his native Mastricht - played for the teams “Juliana” and “l'Avenir”, and at the age of 18 he became a member of the club MSV [4] . In 1917, the striker moved to the NAC club from Breda , but six months later he returned to Mastricht, becoming a player in the local MVV . He scored the first goal in the club on April 22, 1918 in a match against the NLA [4] . Felix defended the colors of the MVV for thirteen years, was the captain of the team. With a growth of 2 meters, he weighed about 98 kilograms [5] .
In July 1919, Hub was first called up to the Netherlands national team [6] . His debut took place on August 31 in a friendly match against the Norwegian team , held in Oslo . The meeting ended in a draw 1: 1 - for the Netherlands, as well as for the Norwegians, this was their first meeting between the teams [7] . Felix also played five matches for the national teamZvaluen , who at that time was the preparatory team for the national team. In addition, he spent 20 matches as part of the Southern Netherlands national team [4] .
In 1932, Hub Felix ended his career at the age of 36.
Personal life
Hub married at the age of 26 - Anna Elizabeth Vlighe became his chosen one. Their marriage was registered on July 30, 1921 in Mastricht [8] .
Felix died on July 28, 1967, at the age of 72. In memory of him, on July 30, the MVV club spent a minute of silence before the start of a friendly match with the German team Alemania [9] . He was buried in a cemetery in Mastricht near his wife [10] .
