History
Registered as a newly emerged village on May 26, 1965.
In 2008, the Government of the Komi Republic decided to relocate residents from a recognized locality as unpromising.

- National composition
In 1989 - 273 people (138 men and 135 women), of which 53% were Russian.
Currently, about 50 people live in the village of Ivan-Chomya. Of these, only 20 work.
