Belarusian-Tajik relations - bilateral diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan . Established September 5, 1996. Both countries maintain close cooperation and take similar positions on the effectiveness of such organizations as the United Nations , the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe , the Eurasian Economic Union , the Collective Security Treaty Organization , etc.

History
In February 1997, an embassy of Tajikistan was opened in Minsk . The Belarusian Embassy in Dushanbe has been operating since 2011.
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited Tajikistan in April 2000 and October 2011 [1] . The return visits of the leader of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to Belarus took place in July 2001 and May 2014 [1] [2] .
From 1996 to 2013, more than 70 agreements and treaties were concluded between the two states. Currently, 49 bilateral documents are in force.
Economic Cooperation
Belarus supplies construction equipment, furniture and power equipment, and inorganic chemistry products to Tajikistan. Tajikistan exports to Belarus cotton, wool, dried fruits, aluminum oilseeds. In 2000, the foreign trade turnover between the two post-Soviet states amounted to 5.5 million US dollars [3] . In 2012, the external turnover between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Belarus exceeded $ 75.668 million. In 2014, trade between Belarus and Tajikistan amounted to 35 million US dollars [4] . In January-June 2015, trade amounted to $ 12.7 million (compared with the previous year, it decreased by more than 40%) [5] .
Diplomatic missions
Since February 1997, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan has been operating in Minsk. Since November 2009, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus is Kozidavlat Koimdodovich Koimdodov . [6]
