Story
The doctor and Romana are resting on the beach in Brighton, but suddenly K-9, chasing the ball, falls into sea water and explodes. Soon, the heroes are sent to the Free Hive of Argolis, a sanatorium built by the surviving Argolians after the war with Foamazi. But due to the decrease in the flow of tourists, the Hive is almost bankrupt, so the agent of the Argolians on Earth, Brock, and his lawyer Klaut offer to sell the planet. But guessing that the proposal comes from the property, Argolis rejects it. But the head of the Morix board soon dies, and he is replaced by Mina, the deputy.
Scientist Hardin arrives in Argolis to help Mina and her people through experiments over time to cope with cellular degradation and accelerated aging, as well as sterility due to war. Doctors and Roman are assigned to help him, and they find out that Hardin forged his work, but Romana feels that everything can work.
Soon, someone kills Stimson, the financier of Hardin, and the murder is hanged on the Doctor. Meanwhile, Romana and Hardin are successful, but when testing the recreational chamber on the Doctor, something goes wrong and he is aging for five hundred years. Mina's son, Pangol, demands restricting the movements of the Doctor and Romana in the complex, but Hardin frees them. Soon they guess: a recreational camera is needed to create things or people ( English recreation - re-creation ).
It turns out that Pangol is conducting experiments to create new Argolians. Meanwhile, Brock and Klaut deliver a new proposal from an organization called the Western Lodge, but Pangol tears it and tells why he is one young Argolian: he was the only one who was successfully created as a result of an experiment to save the Argolians. But the thirst for revenge overshadowed his mind, and after the death of Mina, he is going to create a “New Argolis” from the clone army and start a war with foamazi.
Meanwhile, Doctor, Romana, and Hardin lead the foamazi agents to the Hive to the consul, where it turns out that Brock and Klaut are foamazi from the Western Lodge, a criminal gang that needs Argolis as a base for operations. Foamazis take the criminals, but Pangol escapes with the Helm of Theron, the sacred symbol of the world of Argolis. The doctor attaches the randomizer to the recreation chamber, hoping to destabilize her.
The criminals try to escape on the shuttle of the Foamazi, but they destroy it, and Pangol launches the creation of an army of clones. Hardin finds the dying Mina and puts her in a recreation chamber, where her son also runs into. Those are renewed, Mina is getting younger, and Pangol is turning into a baby. Despite Romana's objection, the Doctor leaves the randomizer on camera, and travelers depart for the TARDIS.
