Biography
Dorothea is the daughter of Elector Christian I of Saxony and his wife Sophia Brandenburg , the daughter of Elector Johann Georg of Brandenburg . April 18, 1610 was elected abbess of Quedlinburg. At this post, Dorothea granted some rights to the city of Quedlinburg and increased salaries to priests and teachers.
Dorothea suddenly became seriously ill while visiting her brothers in Dresden, and died at the age of 26. Buried in Freiberg.
