Gesa Lang ( Hungarian Géza Láng ) ( March 8, 1916 , Békéscsaba Hungary - February 18, 1980 , Budapest Hungary ) - Hungarian botanist and plant grower, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the GDR (1968-80), foreign member of the Agricultural Academy (1972- 80).

Biography
Geza Lang was born on March 8, 1916 in Békéscsaba. Father - Frederick, a lawyer , mother - Elizabeth, a housewife . Until 1934 he lived in Bekeshchab, after which he moved with his parents to Keszthe , where he graduated from the Agricultural Academy in 1937. After graduation, this academy was left to work in the same place where he worked until 1968, while the last 3 years he held the post of rector of the academy. He was also an academician-secretary of the Department of Agrarian Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
World War II
In 1942, during World War II, Geza Lang volunteered for the front and was assigned to the Eastern Front , where he fought until 1943, after which he rose to the reservist . From 1944 to 1945, Geza Lang was again enlisted in the army.
Death
Geza Lang died on February 18, 1980 in Budapest, before he reached the age of 64 a little more than a month.
Scientific work
The main scientific works are devoted to crop production and agrochemistry.
