Description

Small riders with a slender body, abdomen compressed laterally, body length about 12 mm, antenna length about 6 mm, front wing length 7.7 mm. Antenna with 38 segments of flagellum. Clypeus and mesonotum densely punctured. The main body color is black (yellow mandibles). The palp formula is 5: 4 (5 mandibular and 4 lower labial segments). The clypeus is separated from the face by a groove. There is a prong in the lower part of the hips. Tiridia is developed near the base of the 2nd tergite of the abdomen. Parasites of hiding caterpillars of small butterflies ( Lepidoptera ). The species was first described in 2015 by South African hymenopterologists Pascal Rousse ; Natural History Department, South African Isico-Museum , Cape Town , South Africa and Simon van Noort ; Department of Biological Sciences, University of Cape Town , Rondebosch , South Africa [1] [2] .
