Description
Small riders with a slender body, abdomen compressed laterally, body length 5.8-6.8 mm, antenna length 3.0-3.6 mm, length of the front wing about 3.3-4.0 mm. Antennae with 24–26 flagellum segments. The main body color is black and brown (mandibles, clypeus and yellow legs). Formula of palpi 5: 4 (5 mandibular and 4 lower lip segments). The platband is separated from the face by a groove. In the lower part of the rear thighs there is a prong. Thyridia is developed near the base of the second abdominal tergite. Parasites of hiding moths of small butterflies ( Lepidoptera ), found on leguminous Afrormosia laxiflora ( Fabaceae ) plants. The species was first described in 2015 by South African Hymenterterologists Pascal Rousse ( Pascal Rousse ; Natural History Department, South African Museum of Iris , Cape Town , South Africa ) and Simon van Noort ; Department of Biological Sciences, University of Cape Town , Rondebosch , South Africa [1] [2] .
