Central Military Revolutionary Committee of Donbass

The Central Military Revolutionary Committee of Donbass , the coordinating body of Bolshevik organizations and armed groups, acted and claimed power in certain regions of the Ekaterinoslav and Kharkiv provinces of the former Russian Empire during 1917-1919.

History

The creation of the Revolutionary Committee Center was first raised at a meeting of representatives of the Bakhmutsky and Gorlovsko-Shcherbinovsky Bolshevik Committee on November 16 (3), 1917 in Nikitovka in connection with the arrival of the emissary of the Council of People's Commissars G. I Congress of the Donetsk Basin Revolutionary Committees

On December 4 (17), 1917, at the initiative of the district committee of Bolsheviks Nikitovka, an all-Donetsk congress of representatives of 15 revolutionary committees of Donbass, Gorlovo-Shcherbinovsky was held. Donbass-Don operation

On January 18, 1918, by the decision of the Central Bureau of the Military Revolutionary Committees of Donbass, the Central Headquarters of the Red Guard of Donbass was formed from representatives of Petrograd, Moscow and local Red Guard units. [eight]
