History
The trademark appeared at the end of 1979, when entrepreneur Robert R. Taylor established the production of liquid soap with plastic dispensers for his company The Minnetonka Corporation ( Chaska , Minnesota ).
Taylor understood that other companies would try to copy his success, so he pre-purchased 100 million plastic bottles with pumps from the largest manufacturers in the US for $ 12 million [1] , which provided him with a one-year minimum strategic advantage.
For 6 months, while the new product was being advertised, Taylor managed to sell $ 25 million liquid soap [1] . The product packaging was very easy to find in stores, as it stood out against the background of bar soap.
Taylor sold the brand to Colgate-Palmolive in 1987 [1] .
