Trimeresurus popeiorum is a species of venomous snake family of vipers. The specific name is given in honor of the American herpetologist Clifford Pope (1899–1974) and his wife Sarah Pope [1] .

The total length reaches 90-170 cm. The head is large, triangular. The body is slim with weakly keeled scales. The color is green, with the exception of the tail, which has a red or reddish brown color. In young individuals on the sides stretches a bright strip, which is bordered by a red strip. In adult snakes, the light band is sometimes preserved.
Loves forests, especially small trees and shrubs on hills and mountains. Active at night or at twilight. It feeds on lizards, frogs and small mammals.
Vivipara snake.
Poison does not pose a threat to human life in the case of timely use of serum.
It lives in northern India and Southeast Asia.
