Education

In 1984 he graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Boarding School. V. M. Komarova [1] . In 1984-1991 he studied at the Tbilisi State Medical University as a therapist. In 1986-1988 called up for compulsory military service in the ranks of the Soviet army. In 1990-1995 He studied at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University at the Faculty of Economics, specializing in industrial planning. In 1997-1998. studied at the University of Illinois , received a master's degree in finance [2] .

Career

1993-1996 - began a financial career at United Georgian Bank. He rose to the deputy head of the credit department;
1996-1997 - Vice-President of Export-Import Bank;
1997-1998 - Director of a branch of the management department of the United Georgian Bank;
Since 1999, he worked in the State Chancellery. Deputy Head of the financial, monetary and foreign economic services. Head of the Small and Medium Business Development Group of the joint program of the Government of Georgia and USAID ;
1999-2004 - Member of the Parliament of Georgia , Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy;
After the revolution of roses and the coming to power of Mikheil Saakashvili , he left public work, returning to business;
2004-2006 - Consultant to the Executive Directorate of the First Commercial Bank;
2006-2011 - General Director of “Cardu Bank”;
October 25, 2012 becomes Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development in the new government of Georgia, headed by Bidzina Ivanishvili ;
September 1, 2015 appointed to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia;
On December 30, 2015, Giorgi Kvirikashvili became the Prime Minister of Georgia, after the Georgian Parliament approved his candidacy at a plenary meeting and supported the composition of the government he presented [2] [3] .

On June 13, 2018, Kvirikashvili announced his resignation [4] . Until the formation of the new government, the old government will continue to fulfill its duties [5] .
