The first Thai film that has won international acclaim: at the first Asian-Pacific Film Festival in Tokyo, he was awarded the silver prize ^[1] , and also won the nominations for “Best Cinematography” and “Best Work of a Production Designer” ^[2] . After returning to Thailand, the director was fined 1,000 baht for not sending the picture to before sending the film abroad. The negative of the picture was destroyed, and the original of the film is considered lost ^[3] .

The film was the first Thai film shown in the Soviet Union: in the 1950s, Thailand politically pursued pro-American and anti-Soviet policies, but when the Soviet embassy proposed to buy the film, the director gave his consent, hoping that at least in the field of art, two countries will manage to establish cooperation ^{[4] [5]} .

In 2016, a restored copy of the film (the films were found in the archives of China and Russia) was demonstrated at the Cannes Film Festival ^{[6] [7] [8]} .
