Atlético San Luis ( Spanish Atlético San Luis ) is a Mexican football club from the city of San Luis Potosi , currently playing in Assenso MX , the second highest level in Mexico's football league system. History
The history of Atlético San Luis dates back to 2013, when the San Luis club moved to the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez , where the Chiapas team appeared on its base. The million-strong city of San Luis Potosi risked being left without a high-level football club, but the owner of the Alfonso Lastras Ramirez stadium and large businessman Jacobo Payan acquired the Veracruz club and moved it to San Luis Potosi. On its basis, on May 28, 2013, Atletico San Luis was formed, which received its name from the two leading clubs in the city in the past: Atletico Potosino and San Luis. The city of Veracruz, however, was not left without a football team; the La Piedad club moved there. just won a promotion in Example.
The first match of Atletico San Luis in Assenso MX was played on July 20, 2013, having scored a guest productive (2: 2) draw with the Alebréchez de Oaxaca team, for whom this game was also a debut in Assenso MX. Rivalry
Atletico San Luis inherited from the Club of San Luis and its most important rival, the club Queretaro Examples. The fights between these two opponents are known as the “Clasico Center” ( Spanish Clásico del Centro ).
