Game Description

Four roosting hens carry eggs rolling down four trays. Driving the Wolf (from the animated film “Wait a minute!” ), Which can take four positions (opposite each tray), you need to catch as many eggs as possible in the basket. For the caught egg, the player is added one point. At first, the eggs roll slowly, but gradually the pace of the game accelerates. After scoring every hundred points, the pace of the game slows down a bit.

In the event of an egg drop, a penalty point is added to the player, which is indicated by the image of the chicken. If the fall occurred in the presence of the Hare , leaning out of the window of the house in the left corner, then the player is added half the penalty point, the image of the chicken flashes. When 200 and 500 eggs are picked in a basket, the penalty points will be void. After receiving three penalty points (from three to six egg drops), the game stops. Upon reaching 999 points, the game continues from the score 0, the penalty collected is not reset (in the future it can be reset when 200 points are reached again). At the same time, the speed of the game is slightly reduced, but it is already much more than in the first round. Further, it continues to increase again. At the same time, in the “table of records” (the record is displayed when you press and hold the button “Game A” or “Game B”), the number 999 remains.

The game has two degrees of difficulty, called respectively by the buttons "Game A" and "Game B" located in the upper right corner of the game. Game A means that the eggs begin to roll only in three trays at a time, in Game B - in all four. The unused tray in Game A depends on the number of penalty points: at 0 points, the lower left tray is not used; at 0.5 and 1 penalty points, the lower right tray; at 1.5 and 2 penalty points, the upper left tray; and at 2, 5 penalty points - upper right tray. When canceling penalties, an unused tray changes to the lower left, as with 0 penalties, as soon as all eggs roll on it.

Under these two buttons is the “Time” button, with which the time settings are changed. The game is also a desktop clock with an alarm clock . When the alarm sounds, the Hare pops out of the window from the window of the house (from the animated film “Wait a minute!” ) And rings the bell.

On the back side of the game is a folding metal leg that allows you to put the game on the table by analogy with the photo frame.

Facts

  • It is an unofficial copy and analogue of the Nintendo EG-26 Egg from the Nintendo Game & Watch series. For this reason, the clock in the game “Wait a minute!” Works according to a 12-hour cycle (used in the USA and some other countries). The wolf with the hat from the original game was replaced by the Wolf (from the animated film “Wait a minute!” ) With a basket, and the cock looking out of the house was replaced by the Hare [4] .
  • The Soviet predecessor of this game was a rather rare game " Electronics 24-01 " with Mickey Mouse instead of the Wolf, instead of the Hare there was a friend of Minnie. The buttons “Game A” and “Game B” were called, respectively, “Game 1” and “Game 2”. The retail price was 23 rubles.
  • It was the first game in the Electronics series. A number of electronic games were later released, usually with similar game mechanics, but with different characters and design.
  • In different versions of the game there were slight differences in the images on the screen:
    • in one version, Wolf’s underpants are in a flower, and in another, polka-dot; there is another option when the stars are shown on the underpants and instead of the symbols DP and PP, the clock face (this drawing option is the rarest)
    • different drawing of hens [4] .
  • There were various myths among the children of the 1980s that when reaching 1000 points (which was extremely difficult), the game shows the cartoon “Wait a minute!” (Options: A hare runs out onto the screen and gives Wolf a bouquet of flowers, Wolf dances, or plays a prize tune) , although such animation is fundamentally impossible when using a display of this type. The melody was not provided, although, in principle, it is possible, as well as the primitive dance of the Wolf. In fact, after 999 + 1 points are scored, the game simply starts anew from 0 points and at a higher speed than at the very beginning.
